This 3.5 hours of training is for any individuals, groups, communities or organizations who would like to be alert to persons with thoughts of suicide and to connect them to suicide intervention resources.
The learning outcomes for participants developed by Living Works (the developers of this training) include:
o Move beyond common tendencies to miss, dismiss or avoid suicide
o Identify people who have thoughts of suicide
o Apply the steps (Tell, Ask, Listen and KeepSafe) to connect a person with thoughts of suicide to a suicide first aid intervention caregiver
SafeTALK complements ASIST, ensuring that persons with thoughts of suicide are identified and linked to suicide intervention caregivers.
